Beards Of Manchester “...have chosen the twelve lucky devils who will be featured in 2011's Beards of Manchester calendar. They are Mad Dawg Pat, Wesley, tattooists Gre and Dan (together), Ciaran, Jay, Louis, David, Dalpreet, Kev, Augustus, Marcus and Garry.” Proceeds will go to the Lifeshare charity.
Our Members Discussion Forum enables members of The British Beard Club to discuss with and advise other members on many pogonophilic subjects, such as Beard Care and Grooming, forthcoming Beard Competitions, Living our Working and Leisure Lives being Bearded, Beards in the News and other topic headings created through our members' interest and participation.
TBBC Member Tim Geering from Hampshire, pipe-smoker, pipe-collector and beard aficionado, does a good job of promoting The British Beard Club, and says some nice things about us. Several new members have joined after seeing this video, so well done Tim!
The Weakest Link TV Show asked us for a contestant and charismatic and lively member Jimmy Cairney from Brighton was chosen. Jimmy kept Anne on her toes and made it to the final round. As Anne was reading out the make-or-break fourth question, Jimmy's face broke into a smile when he realised he knew the answer!
Member John and three mates went to the 5 day Wacken Open Air Rock/Metal Music Festival in Northern Germany, and Tony from Brierley Hill, Worcs has been doing his bit for the Club over a long weekend at the Cambridge Rock Festival.
A very successful gathering that was very well attended with visitors from the Cambridge locality and from counties in the South and East, and we gained 5 new local members at the pub, and three more as a result of word of mouth.
The marriage of Essex Beardsman Henry Scragg to Miss Emily Allen, (God daughter of Essex Beardsman Charlie) took place on a fine Summer's day at Layer Marney Tower, Essex, in a moving Wiccan wedding ceremony on the lawns of the fine Tudor gatehouse.
