“My beard journey started low key in 2012 when I grew a moustache for Movember - one of those 70s villain-type ones! My wife actually liked it, so I grew it into a goatee, then a trimmed full beard a few years later. Lockdown raised the question 'what if I just grew it?' and the rest is history!

“My beard absorbs lots of time now, with moustache waxing, shampooing, conditioning, oiling and balming all part of my regime. Just brushing it is quite mindful in fact. Am I done growing it? No, Not yet! I'm still intrigued by the possibilities, but I guess I'll know when I get there!

“ My daughters hate it, my wife is more diplomatic, but I do enjoy the random conversations about it with people I bump into!

“I dance Border Morris with a local Hertfordshire side, Wicket Brood, and I like the effect of applying green facepaint to it with a toothbrush - coupled with a purple painted face, it makes an impression!

“Music wise I do love a bit of punk, Stiff Little Fingers and The Damned being personal favourites. ”
