“I'm an Anglican Priest now living in Israel, tasked with reopening the Anglican Church of St Peter in Jaffa, Israel.

“The church was closed after the Arab Israeli conflict in 1948, so we are here to oversee the restorations, and to renew the life of the church in the community.

“I'm also hoping to work in the local port of Ashdod to provide welfare services to the Seafarers who dock at and use the port there.

“Life here is very different to the UK, as you can imagine, but it is indeed the land of the bearded!

“Most men here have a beard, and long beards here are very common, unlike the UK.

“In that respect, I feel very much at home!”
